Chhattisgarh election results 2018: Live updates

Counting of votes for 90 assembly constituencies has begun in Chhattisgarh today morning to decide the fate of 1269 candidates in the state. Chief minister Raman Singh, his 11 cabinet colleagues, senior leaders of Congress and former chief minister Ajit Jogi are prominent among the candidates whose fate will be decided as counting takes place in 27 district headquarters across the state.

Assembly election results 2018: Highlights

Over 8,500 candidates are in fray in five states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram – and their electoral fate is currently sealed in over 1.74 lakh EVMs. A total of 678 assembly seats across five states went for polls, after polling was countermanded in one seat in Rajasthan due to death of a candidate.
